Judith Steiner (Violine), born in Wels und raised in Aichkirchen / Lambach (Upper Austria), studied the Violin and the Piano in Linz and Vienna with Prof. Ernst Kovacic und Prof. Klara Flieder. In 1999 she became a member of the Tonkünstler Orchestra Lower Austria. As a substitute of Vienna Philharmonics and of State Opera Orchestra Vienna, she has been playing since 2008 with numerous famous conductors of our days (Franz Welser-Möst, Sir Simon Rattle, Daniel Barenboim, Riccardo Muti, Christian Thielemann, Daniele Gatti, Andris Nelsons, Herbert Blomstedt, Pierre Boulez, Nikolaus Harnoncourt and other) in Vienna, at Mozart Week Salzburg, Salzburg Festival and in many european countries.

Together with her partner Martin Mössmer (Double Bass), she founded in 2006 the WienerKlassikQuartett in the special “Viennese Formation” with 2 Violins, Viola and Double Bass. By various combinations with strings, winds, brass, drums and harp, new ensembles like WienerKlassikNonett and BALLHAUSORCHESTER Vienna were created. They are presented by JM-classicmusic and play actually appr. 70 performances a year.
